Three Rivers Park, Woodbury, CT Wedding : Lara + Ken : Part 2

Today we bring you Part 2 of Lara + Ken’s country wedding…..we just loved this couple!!!!

How did you make your wedding uniquely yours?

We just loved being able to have such a wonderfully whimsical outdoor wedding in a field with the chirping of birds and the call of the bull frogs in the pond right next to us.

Details, details, details!

Probably my favorite part of the entire wedding was the ceremonial archway.  This trellis was a labor of love—Ken, myself, my father and my mother spent one afternoon hand-building it ourselves.  We went out into the woods and cut down grapevine, saplings—you name it.  We had so much fun building it and I will treasure it always.

The hand-sewn napkins and napkin rings were made by my Aunt Linda.  She has been such an immense help in this entire wedding process and I don’t think we could have done it without her.  She is so creative and artistic and provided wonderful direction for the decorations.

The clay love birds are also a favorite.  I purchased them from a seller on Etsy who hand crafts them.  I used them on our wedding cake and I think they were just perfect!  The bird houses are also handmade and were purchased from a wonderful woman on Etsy as well!

Stay tuned for more, coming tomorrow…..
