Love Shoot : Emily + Evan : Windsor, Connecticut

This weekend, Paul + I are fotographing our couple Emily + Evan’s wedding at the beautiful Eolia Mansion at Harkness State Park in Waterford, Connecticut.  So, in anticipation, we thought we’d share images from Emily + Evan’s two Love Shoots.  We did a mini session in the winter at Northwest Park in Windsor, Connecticut, where Emily + Evan love to feed the animals in their spare time.  Emily loves sheep, so we had fun with that :  )

Be sure to check out the Love Book that we designed for them!  PLEASE CLICK HERE :  )

For Emily + Evan’s full Love Shoot, we spend an afternoon in the late spring visiting some of their favorite spots in Windsor.  We started in the beautiful tobacco fields in Windsor.  The sky was so perfect for this location, it was unreal!  I’ve been dying to shoot in the tobacco fields, so I was psyched that they want to go there!

After the tobacco fields, it was off to a nearby, beautiful little town park for a wine and cheese picnic next to a river.  It was so picturesque, and Emily + Evan were so relaxed!

I LOVE the gentleness of this one….

Then it was back to the lovely Northwest Park in Windsor, where we thought it would be fun to fotograph again, to show it’s beauty in another season.

We went for a little hike into the gorgeous fields and found this patch of beautiful light and grass.  Emily + Evan were so into it, I’m not sure they were even aware we were there.  Which is exactly the way we want our couples to feel….so relaxed and in the moment that they forget about the camera.

How perfect is this…..

….and this….

Some of my favorites of the day :  )

We love old barns, and will never get sick of exploring them (or fotographing in them : )

And then we were off to visit the sheep again.  Emily + Evan visit these sheep so often that they actually know these sheep personally.  And I think the sheep love them as much as they love the sheep.  Even though they got startled when Paul + I walked into the pen with our cameras.  Made for a funny picture though : )

That’s better……

How sweet….

The sheep were so curious about our cameras : )

But really more interested in the food : )

Following the beautiful light of the setting sun.

After a yummy dinner at the Union Street Tavern, we thought it would be fun to fotograph in the historic train station right next door, for some moody night time shots.

Emily + Evan, we had such a fun, perfect day with you, and we are very much looking forward to your wedding in Harkness!

See you soon, Krystal + Paul
