Inn at Longshore CT Wedding : Stacey + Andrew

A few weeks back we had the pleasure of fotographing the lovely wedding of Stacey + Andrew at the Inn at Longshore.  You can tell how in love Stacey + Andrew just by watching how they are around each other.  They were so much fun to be with for the day, and I’m sure they will have many happy years together.  Congratulations guys and thank you for having us there with you on such a special day!!!

Stacey shared with us:

How you guys met, the proposal…..what is your love story?

“Andrew and I met at my first job in NYC. Andrew and I become really good friends and spent almost a year getting to know each other through mutual friends. Each night we stayed out later than everyone else. While others went home, we continued getting to know each other and enjoying one another. After a summer of late nights with friends, he finally asked me out for dinner. And the rest is history :)”

What was important to you as you planned?

“Going into wedding planning, someone gave me the great advice to focus on two of three things. For us it was to through a great dance party with great company and great cocktails. That is just what we did. We found the perfect place with a great feeling and dance floor. Once that was confirmed we found a great band that would keep the energy alive all night. Then we brought in our signture tequila cocktails for Cinco de Mayo. And we had ourselves a great party with great friends!!”

What was your inspiration?

“My fiancé (or now my husband). I wanted us to have the most perfect wedding and I think we did. We are both fairly classic in our style. Having a black and white wedding seemed perfect and each detail was meant to reflect  our classic style.”

How did you make your wedding uniquely yours?

“Keeping our key vision and inspiration at heart, we threw the best celebration of our marriage. It was truly the happiest day of our lives. Having our wedding on Cinco de Mayo was the perfect reason to create signature Don Julio cocktails (the blushing bride and the cunningham) and to give away small don julio bottles as our wedding favors.”

Your favorite memories/ highlights of the day?

“The wedding definitely exceeded both of our expectations. We knew it would be a wonderful day, but every last detail was perfect. It was truly incredible to look out at a room and see all of the people we love and care about. I don’t think either one of us could pick out our favorite moment because it all flew by. It was spectacular.”

Advice you’d give other brides that you learned from your own experience?

” People kept telling me to stop and enjoy myself throughout the night. It really is important to consciously stop yourself and take it all in. It goes by way too fast.”
