Today we are featuring the second half of Kora + Drew’s lovely homemade wedding at The Webb Barn. Kora + Drew had the kind of wedding that Paul + I would love to fotograph everyday. In fact, their wedding had a very similar feel to mine and Paul’s wedding, which I’ll be featuring on our blog soon. Kora’s attention to detail was so apparent and we loved the homegrown feel of everything. What a dream…rustic burlap linens, the mason jars full of fresh blooms, place cards designed to look like pretty patchwork fabric, hand-tied lavender & twine linen napkins, home-made pepper jelly topped with pretty fabrics for favors….the list goes on and on!!
“Ever since attending Drew’s grandparents 50th anniversary party years back we knew the Webb Barn was where all the magic would happen some day. We tried to add as many personal touches and details but were careful not to take away from the natural beauty of the barn and gardens that surround it.
Some of the details which made our big day personal and special to us were our favors of homemade pepper jelly made by my parents, my clutch which was made out of my grandmother’s wedding dress, our vintage hankie invitations, and our ceremony music played by Drew’s cousin… some things you just can’t put a price on!
The place cards were custom by a vendor found on Etsy- Charli & Cleo which have an event styling and paperie LLC company in Colorado. I sent her all the fabric which matched the fabric used on the pepper jelly jars and she worked her magic. The votive holders were DIY by myself and a girlfriend…. I purchased a bunch of different lace ribbon and we used Fabri-Tac to apply it to the outside of the votive holders (I saw similar ideas all over the web and it was too easy not to do).
Then, as if we didn’t already feel like the luckiest bride and groom ever to hit the face of this planet, we spent 12 ridiculously awesome, adventure filled days traveling in Alaska! WHAT?!? True story. (I know, it’s crazy.)
We feel grateful to have so much love in our lives and cannot thank you, Paul and Krystal, enough for providing us with such beautiful lasting memories we hope to share for years to come!”
Kora + Drew, we can’t thank you guys enough for having us there to share your joy! Not only was it a joy to capture all those special moments for you two, but it was also an honor to be there to witness the joining of two beautiful souls….so thank you. We hope to see you guys soon : ) P.S. Alaska was great wasn’t it? That is one of mine and Paul’s favorite places on earth.
Enjoy…I know we did!
Congratulations Kora + Drew…..you two are going to have a beautiful life together : )
