Webb Barn, CT Wedding : Kora + Drew : Part 1

Some of you might remember Kora + Drew from their gorgeous New England autumn Love Shoot at the Golden Lamb Buttery….and if you missed it be sure to check it out here!  Kora + Drew actually live here in our hometown of Stafford Springs, but surprisingly Kora + Drew really found out about us from a feature we had on Style Me Pretty.  Kora loves wedding blogs and the minute she saw us on Style Me Pretty and put two and two together that we were in her hometown, she literally called that day and came down to book!  It was so meant to be…..we love Kora + Drew!  They are so down-to-earth, totally in love, easy to talk to, and so enthusiastic! Kora actually helped me with a few things as I was planning our wedding, which was so sweet of her!

On the big day, we met Kora and her ladies at the beautiful and historic bed and breakfast The Silas Robbin’s House, the perfect location to fotograph everyone getting all dolled up!   Kora’s details were so well thought out and so much fun to fotograph, from the beautiful vintage hankie invitations by the very talented Lucky Luxe, to the lovely little ceramic ring dish that held their wedding bands made by Paloma’s Nest on Etsy.  More to come tomorrow for Kora + Drew’s beautiful little country wedding!

Kora shares with us about her wedding:

“First, I must preface by saying I was definitely one of those girls who dreamed of my wedding day for as long as I could possibly remember. I even kept a secret folder of wedding inspiration hidden long before my husband ever proposed which I totally got teased for after he
accidently stumbled on it one day… sooo it wasn’t really surprising that I stayed up day and night blog stalking from the second he put the ring on my finger until the second I said “I Do” : )

Planning our wedding was so much fun, at least once a week since we have reminisced and both agree we would do it ALL over again in a heartbeat- no exceptions!!  Everything came together so easily and it wouldn’t have been possible without all of the support from our friends, family and of course awesome vendors!!

We had two goals…. The first was that our wedding would be intimate. We both have HUGE families and were really nervous about having it quickly become a huge ‘event’ in which the day ended and we realized we never even spent time together, which was what it was all about. The second was that our wedding day would in some way express our personalities; we wanted it to be anything but cookie-cutter.

There were so many aspects that made the day unforgettable … From Drew and his best man arriving to the wedding in his best man’s AC Cobra (every groom’s dream I’m sure!) to the jaw-dropping bed and breakfast we stayed at.”
