Taylor and Jeff were such a pleasure to work with and their wedding in Newport was so classic and gorgeous! Between Taylor’s stunning Monique Lhullier dress, a classic Newport trolley for transportation, easy-breezy sunny blue skies, a beautiful ceremony at the famous St. Mary’s Church and a reception location to die for, Taylor + Jeff’s wedding was a picture of perfection! Here is what Taylor wrote about her wedding:
Jeff and I based our wedding weekend theme around classic Newport. We drew inspiration from the church where we were married (St. Mary’s in Newport), in particular drawing on the very classic aspects of John F. Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy’s wedding at the very same church. We followed a very classic black and white color scheme and infused pops of deep purple and cobalt blue into the linens, flowers, and candles at during the reception. Some of our favorite images of the day are the ones Paul and Krystal captured in the church, similar to those taken at the Kennedy wedding, it was such a special surprise when we saw the images.
We originally booked our wedding at another location and unfortunately were affected by the sale of the venue in January and our date was canceled. We worked to quickly find a new location for the reception and fell in love with Belcourt Castle. The space was very unique and allowed guests to enjoy dancing upstairs following dinner, or to stay out in the courtyard for cigars and cocktails.
The morning of our wedding, Paul and Krystal of Studio Foto came over to present my parents with a project we had been working on together earlier that year. They had never received a wedding album of their own; they only had original proofs. Krystal worked to scan and edit all the images for them and create the most special wedding gift for them–an album of their own with their wedding images… over 25 years later!
The day was full of wonderful memories and unexpected surprises, and we wouldn’t change a thing!
Stay tuned for part 2 of Taylor + Jeff’s stunning wedding… tomorrow’s feature!
